Hello There, FO #2!

Hello Again! I’m playing a bit of catch-up, as I’ve finished 3 objects before I thought to start this series. So, here we go with FO #2.

I called this  project “NoBunny Parties Like An Angel On Acid.”

I’ll explain this in a bit, I promise. The Pattern is  Party on my needles by Joji Locatelli. I absolutely love this pattern, and knew I wanted to include as many wild and happy colors as I could. For this, I turned to three different dyers and 3 awesome colors that had just come my way.

  1. GnomeAcres. I used their color “Little Bunny Foo Foo” on their House Gnome Base.
  2. Leading Men Fiber Arts. I used their color “Acid Trip” on their Show Stopper Base.
  3. Nerd Girl Yarns. I used their color “Teenage Mutant Ninja Angel” on their Bounce & Stomp Base.

So, if you’ve been following my projects on Ravelry, I try to name my projects with a combination of the yarn, pattern, and maybe something I’m thinking about while I’m starting the project. Some are just out of left field, but will often make sense to you if you know me in real life…

So, with the three colors I used (and that I mentioned above), as well as the pattern, can you see what I did there? I’m still so proud of myself that I was that clever. Mostly because that could have easily been a “Knitting Attack” due to the decision being made at 11:00 at night… 😉

Anyway, I started this project on October 15th and finished it January 17th. I used size 4 (3.5mm) 40 inch Red Lace ChiaoGoo fixed circular needles. I still have to block the picot bind-off a bit, but I still want to wear it to work to show it off. A few of my co-workers don’t see the finished projects I’m working on at lunch until much later, so…

I’ll put up better pictures of the shawl and me wearing it up on my Ravelry Project page as soon as I get them. Waiting for better light… Or, at least, that’s what I’m telling myself… 😉

I should be by soon with FO #3. So, until then, Happy Crafting!
