Legal #21

Project #21 for 2018 is what I called “Jodi! We’re Podcasting!”  on Ravelry.

The pattern was “Jodi” by Joji Locatelli. Used a US 7 Marblz 40 inch needle for most of the project.

I also used Nice & Knit’s Fingering base. In the Colorways “Driftwood,” “Canal,” & “Vineyard.” I LOVE this combo!!! Still need to block it, but still. I LOVE how this pattern knit up!

This knit got me 455.2 yards.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Roaring 20!

So, I finished another Holiday Gift!

I called this project “M Needs Warm Legs” on my Ravelry Page. The pattern was  “Leg Warmers #263” by Bernat Design Studio. I used 362 yards of  Bernat Softee Baby Solids & Marls in the colorway “Baby Pink.”

This took from March 5th to June 5th.

I’m so glad to have a Holiday Gift finished before the start of July!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Quickest #19

Hello again!!! I told you, I’ve been busy finishing things up since the start of Stash Dash about 10 days ago…

FO #19 is June’s DVD socks!

This month’s socks were also knit with the “OMG Heel” by Megan Williams.  I’m still enamored with this heel, yo!!! 🙂

I used the same needles as with my May DVD socks, and used DVD’s “Oh, Clark” colorway on their Viso base.  I LOVED the colors, and how the stripy sequence knit up!!! Hence why I couldn’t put them down.  Well, for very long…

This was probably the quickest I’ve knit a pair of socks.  4 days… I amazed even myself! Then again, it DOES help that I was pretty monogamously working on this project… That doesn’t help AT ALL… lol…

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!!!

#18’s Feeling Generous

Hello again everyone!!! I have a plan to make as many hats for Charity as I possibly can before heading to SSK (Super Summer Knit Together) in July. To help this end, I have decided to separate out each month’s Charity Hats so I can count them for Stash Dash separately.  As one does… I have two for the month of May.  As a group,  I called them simply “May’s Charity Hats.”

The Project title I’ve come up with for the whole project is called “A Few Good Barley’s.”

The pattern I used for both of Month’s hats, was the “Barley” by tincanknits. I LOVE This pattern. I did a quick edit, and took out the purl rows. If you’ve knit the pattern, you know what I’m talking about. I won’t give out the secret sauce, if you will… May’s hats were both in the Baby size (the smallest one).

I used a 16 inch US 4 – 3.5 mm circ, and a 16 inch US 6 – 4.0 mm circ. Both Marblz needles.

I used Bernat Softee Baby Solids & Marls, in the “Baby PInk” colorway.

Aren’t these SOOOO adorable!!! 🙂

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!!!

17’s Sweet Like Candy! :)

Hello Again! I have another FO to report!

FO #17 is what I called “Cotton Candy Sock Blank Socks” on my Ravelry Project page.

I used size US 2 – 2.75 mm needles this time. In both a 9 inch circ needle, and 2 16 inch circs.

I used a Gale’s Art Single Knit Sock Blank. The Color is the “Pink and Blue Abstract.” When I first started the toe of the first sock, it reminded me of Cotton Candy, hence the Project title… lol.
I REALLY love how Sock Blanks knit up. They start like this,  and knit up quite differently. You never know EXACTLY what socks you’ll get by the end. Which, I suppose, is the REAL reason I tend to gravitate toward them!
Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

16’s Burning

Hello again! I have another FO to report! May was a busy month! lol.

FO #16 I titled “Ember’s Up!!!” on my Project Pages!

This pair of socks were knit with a pattern I created for myself. A quick Toe-up sock pattern with a deep heel.

I used Redbird Yarn Studio’s Simple Sock, in the colorway “Ember.” Same needles as my DVD socks that I mentioned before.

This pair was entered for a Self-Striping KAL, as well as Stash Dash. This was finished the same day that Stash Dash Started.

LOVE how this yarn knit up!
Until Next Time, Happy Knitting!

Quinceañera Socks

Hello Everyone!!! Here’s my 15th FO of the year.

What I titled “Birthday Month DVD Socks”  on my Project Page.

I used the OMG Heel Socks pattern by Megan Williams. This was my first time using this heel, and I totally had that “OMG” moment when I put the first sock on after completing the heel. When I was knitting it, I noted that it didn’t seem to be as deep as I usually like. I was TOTALLY delighted when it fit my fat heels when I tried the sock on. So, now I’m looking forward to the next couple of months of DVD socks as I re-knit this heel. I used size US 1 – 2.25 mm needles. I have a 9 inch circ needle that I used for the body of the sock, and 2 16 inch circs that I used to knit the heels, toes, and cuffs. This is pretty much my usual…

This month’s DVD (Desert Vista Dyeworks) colorway was “Happy Birthday Cupcake” on their VIso base. I LOVED working with this color!!!

I can’t wait to start next Month’s DVD socks!!! 🙂

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!!!
