Candy Dreams of #15

Hello again everyone! The last FO I finished in February (#15) is a project I called “Candy Corn Crushing It…”

This project will be entered in the HPKCHC Ravelry group for a Quidditch project. I used the “Swirl Hat” pattern by Mandie Harrington and GnomeAcres, House Gnome in the “Candy Corn” colorway. I love how the two play together. What do you think?

Thank you for sticking with this long day of posts. I know there are a lot. Literally, while you’re reading this post, I should be putting the final touches on my podcast episode… It’s been a busy day. What can I say? lol…
Until Next Month, Happy Crafting!

Hello again everyone! FO #14 for 2020 was a project I called “We’re Off To Never Neverland – Silver Style.”

I used the “Georgia On My Mind” pattern by Leslie of TheKnitGirllls as well as SweetGeorgia Yarns Tough Love Sock in the “Neverland” colorway. I love the way the variegated color plays with this pattern. What do you think?

I Heart You!

Hello again everyone! FO #12 is a project I called “Heart-Shaped Box.”

I wanted crochet hearts. There is LITERALLY no other reason. Well, I entered them into the HPKCHC Ravelry group too, but I REALLY wanted the hearts for myself. I used Caron One Pound in the “Off White” colorway and an I (eye) Hook. I love the way these came out. What do you think?

Squares 3, Electric Boogaloo

Hello again everyone! FO #10 for this year was the third and last installment of the project I called “I Can Hear The Bells.”

I finished up the remaining 10 squares I needed to complete the blanket, and I have been using an I (eye) hook. Here’s how it currently looks.

I’m currently working on the border for this blanket. I hope to finish it soon. What do you think?

Hello again everyone! FO #9  is a project I called LOL. Wut? This Peacock is strutting its stuff on the Quidditch pitch…”

If you couldn’t tell, this was for a Quidditch match in the HPKCHC Ravelry group. I used the “Peacock Shawl” pattern by Emily Walton. This pattern calls for 6 colors of yarn. I actually used 5.

  • Hue Loco, Merino Sock, “It’s So You”
  • Nerd Girl Yarns, Bounce & Stomp, “#lolwut”
  • Once Upon A Corgi, Handmade Penny, “Tell Me To Smile One More Time”
  • The Fiber Seed, Sprout Sock, “Pure Imagination”
  • Lolodidit, Plush Sock, “Polyjuice Potion”

I love the way the pattern plays with each color. What do you think?

Climbing Stairs

Hello again everyone! FO #8 for 2020 is a project called “Climbing Fairies.”

This is one of the Holiday gifts I’ll be giving away in December to a surprise recipient. I used the “Upstairs Downstairs: A Cowl in Three Sizes” pattern by Paula Emons-Fuessle. I also used the “Water Fairy” colorway from Miss Babs, Yowza.  I love the way this color plays with the pattern. What do you think?

Another Blanket Statement

Hello again everyone! FO #7 revolves around another crochet scrappy blanket that I started. I’m going to be entering the squares every month as FO’s. In January, I finished 3 squares.

I’m using a G hook and LOTS of miscellaneous 92-yard fingering-weight yarn scraps. For a full list of the colors, you should probably check out my Project Page. I’ll list them all there. What do you think of the squares I finished in January?

Let’s Have a Spa Day!

Hello everyone! FO #4 is a project I called “Gingy’s Spa Day.”

This was my Holiday cast-on from 2018, and I thought it was time I finished them.  I used the “Hot Chocolate With Pink Marshmallows Socks” pattern by C.C. Almon and yarn by ArtisticYarnbyAbi. In the colorway “Gingerbread Stripe.” I REALLY love the way these two play together. What do you think?

And So It Begins…

Hello everyone! I’m planning on highlighting all of my FO’s again in 2020. Let’s start off with an FO that I entered in the HPKCHC (Harry Potter Knit & Crochet House Cup) group on Ravelry. This is a project I called “Herbology – Jan 2020.”

I used the “1up Mushroom Dishcloth” pattern by Nyyght using some random Green Acrylic scraps I had laying about. It’s hard to see, but I LOVE this pattern!

Lovely Squares

Hello again everyone! The last FO of 2019 was 32 yellow squares and 18 black squares for a new Granny Square blanket. This is a blanket I started for a surprise Recipient and their SO (Significant Other). I’m calling the project “I Can Hear The Bells.”

Here are the rows I connected in December. What do you think of my progress?

This means I have a total of 48,274.1 yards for the year. Quite awesome, huh?  Either way, I’ll be back for an FO parade in 2020!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

My Blanket Statement

Hello again everyone! FO #76 for 2019 was what I called “December 2019 Blanket Squares.”

I’m just doing granny squares on a size I (eye) Hook. Here’s the final layout. What do you think?

I still have to connect all the squares and finish up the border. This is how the blanket will sit for a bit, as I have other things I need to finish first…

I used the “Vanilla is the New Black” pattern by Anneh Fletcher and Must Stash Yarn & Fiber Sport Sock in the “Dark Side EVP.” I really love these socks. I think I’ve worn them at least once a week since I finished them. What do you think?

I used the “You’re A Mean One” colorway from Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD). I used the “Vanilla Is The New Black” pattern by Anneh Fletcher. I REALLY love the way this pattern and yarn go together. What do you think?
