Hello everyone! As the title suggests, we’re VERY close to the start of Stash Dash 2020. The dates for Stash Dash this year are May 22nd to August 22nd.

This is the time of the year where I go over my crafty goals for this wonderful Stash-busting Along that I participate in with a BUNCH of knitters/crocheters/spinners/weavers from all around the world. I have a few goals, so I’m going to list them all here. There are some projects that I have all ready to go, and there are some that are possible to do. I’ll try to update this one post as we go along throughout the summer once per week (although, you know me… it might be once per month) with what I have completed as well as the actual yardage I get for each FO (Finished Object). I’ll also be updating a meterage tracker, so you can see how close to my goals I actually am. You can find that below, for now….

Full List = Updated

Hiya!!! I’m just writing this post to let you know that I have a full list of  2020’s FOs’. Just in case you were overwhelmed with the LARGE amounts of posts over the past few hours/missed one.

You can find the list (with full links to each post) here.

I have just one more post scheduled for today, then I’m done for a bit. I promise!

More Squares…

Hiya everyone! As I’ve been making a bunch of squares for the “My Scrappy Happy Blanket,” I thought I’d break it down into 12 square installments for the sake of getting yardage for Stash Dash. To this end, FO #34 is the Second Batch (as I’ve been thinking about it…)

I’m loving all the different colors… 😉 What do you think?

A Bit Wibbly Wobbly…

Hiya! FO #33 for the year was what I called “Doctor Daddy-O.”

I used Knit Picks Hathorne in the “Newport” colorway, as well as the “Dr. Who Reverse Polarity Socks” pattern by Rosie Rose. The picture is pretty dark, but the twisted cable is VERY pretty! I love the way that these two colors play together. What do you think?

Squares, Squares Everywhere

Hiya everyone! As I’ve been making a bunch of squares for the “My Scrappy Happy Blanket,” I thought I’d break it down into 12 square installments for the sake of getting yardage for Stash Dash. To this end, FO #31 is the FIrst Batch (as I’ve been thinking about it…)

There are so many different Fingering weight scraps that I’ve been using to label them all here. But I REALLY love the way that each square comes out. What do you think?

I LOVE Outlander Quotes. Especially Jamie’s…

Hiya! FO #29 was what I called “Forever Minty.”

This is probably the longest-standing WIP (Work In Progress) that I’ll probably finish during the months of Stash Dash. This one has been on the needles since October of 2017. I used the “It has always been forever for me, Sassenach Shawl” pattern by C.C. Almon. I also used two colors from lolodidit “Barely There Mint” and “Sassenach.” These two colors bring ou the pattern beautifully. I just wish I could make the shawl bigger. However, I couldn’t, due to playing yarn chicken with the first color as it was.  But, what can you do, right? What do you think of how it came out?

Magic Coffee Ride

Hiya! The 27th FO I finished this year was what I called “My Flat White Is Magical.”

This was a project I started in July of last year for a specific Recipient. I still have yet to send it to her, but I’ll get there. I Promise! For this project, I used the “Flat White Wrap” pattern by CC Almon, as well as the “Magician” colorway from SweetGeorgia Yarns. I REALLY love this color. Almost wish I had more of it to make my own shawl with, but meh…  Love the way that these two play together. What do you think?

Super Secret Isn’t So Secret Anymore… lol.

Hiya! I called FO #18 “Super Secret Design.”

I had designed a shawl for Break Month in the Harry Potter Knit Crochet House Cup (HPKCHC) Ravelry group. The result was my “Wizarding World Tour Shawl” Pattern Sample. The idea was to represent all 4 locations we were “visiting” during Break Month in the shawl. I think I did a pretty good job. I can never tell, but time will tell as people start finishing the project, I suppose. But, I digress…

I used “Tea Time” from Wonderland yarns, 3 colors from Nice & Knit. “May Flowers,” “Mint Chip,” and “Watermelon.” I really wanted to play with colors. I think I managed to do that.  What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

SSDGM Murderinos!!!

Hiya!!! FO #17 was what I called “SSDGM 2020.”

This was my March Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD) Monthly Sock Club Socks. I used the color “My Favorite Murder.” Hence the name of the project, which you’ll probably only get if you are a fan of the show as I am… I really do LOVE the way that dyer brought out the colors of the Podcast’s logo.  What do you think?

I Heart #16

Good morning everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve been by to update this series. Quite frankly, I wasn’t feeling much like writing. I DID keep crafting since February, I promise. Quite a bit, actually. I’m in the middle of Stash Dash (the large along put on by TheKnitGirllls for the summer) right now, and it’s been a Finish Palooza!!! (Should look into trademarking that phrase, but I’m too lazy, TBH…)

Just as a heads up, I’m planning on this to be the first of MANY posts that pop up on the blog today. Please be patient with me if there are ALOT of posts to read through. Such is life when yours truly skips MONTHS at a time without posting anything. Alright, now that you’ve been warned… Let’s get on with it…

We left off with FO #16 in this FO Parade of ours.  I called this Project “Take Another Piece of My Heart Now Baby.”

It is, simply, a crochet heart in this lovely pink yarn. I used a size 5.5 mm or I (eye) hook for this tiny project. I LOVE how it came out.  What do you think?

Candy Dreams of #15

Hello again everyone! The last FO I finished in February (#15) is a project I called “Candy Corn Crushing It…”

This project will be entered in the HPKCHC Ravelry group for a Quidditch project. I used the “Swirl Hat” pattern by Mandie Harrington and GnomeAcres, House Gnome in the “Candy Corn” colorway. I love how the two play together. What do you think?

Thank you for sticking with this long day of posts. I know there are a lot. Literally, while you’re reading this post, I should be putting the final touches on my podcast episode… It’s been a busy day. What can I say? lol…
Until Next Month, Happy Crafting!

Rocking Out With #14

Hello again everyone! FO #14 for 2020 was a project I called “We’re Off To Never Neverland – Silver Style.”

I used the “Georgia On My Mind” pattern by Leslie of TheKnitGirllls as well as SweetGeorgia Yarns Tough Love Sock in the “Neverland” colorway. I love the way the variegated color plays with this pattern. What do you think?

I Heart You!

Hello again everyone! FO #12 is a project I called “Heart-Shaped Box.”

I wanted crochet hearts. There is LITERALLY no other reason. Well, I entered them into the HPKCHC Ravelry group too, but I REALLY wanted the hearts for myself. I used Caron One Pound in the “Off White” colorway and an I (eye) Hook. I love the way these came out. What do you think?

Squares 3, Electric Boogaloo

Hello again everyone! FO #10 for this year was the third and last installment of the project I called “I Can Hear The Bells.”

I finished up the remaining 10 squares I needed to complete the blanket, and I have been using an I (eye) hook. Here’s how it currently looks.

I’m currently working on the border for this blanket. I hope to finish it soon. What do you think?

LOL WUT?

Hello again everyone! FO #9  is a project I called LOL. Wut? This Peacock is strutting its stuff on the Quidditch pitch…”

If you couldn’t tell, this was for a Quidditch match in the HPKCHC Ravelry group. I used the “Peacock Shawl” pattern by Emily Walton. This pattern calls for 6 colors of yarn. I actually used 5.

  • Hue Loco, Merino Sock, “It’s So You”
  • Nerd Girl Yarns, Bounce & Stomp, “#lolwut”
  • Once Upon A Corgi, Handmade Penny, “Tell Me To Smile One More Time”
  • The Fiber Seed, Sprout Sock, “Pure Imagination”
  • Lolodidit, Plush Sock, “Polyjuice Potion”

I love the way the pattern plays with each color. What do you think?

Climbing Stairs

Hello again everyone! FO #8 for 2020 is a project called “Climbing Fairies.”

This is one of the Holiday gifts I’ll be giving away in December to a surprise recipient. I used the “Upstairs Downstairs: A Cowl in Three Sizes” pattern by Paula Emons-Fuessle. I also used the “Water Fairy” colorway from Miss Babs, Yowza.  I love the way this color plays with the pattern. What do you think?

Another Blanket Statement

Hello again everyone! FO #7 revolves around another crochet scrappy blanket that I started. I’m going to be entering the squares every month as FO’s. In January, I finished 3 squares.

I’m using a G hook and LOTS of miscellaneous 92-yard fingering-weight yarn scraps. For a full list of the colors, you should probably check out my Project Page. I’ll list them all there. What do you think of the squares I finished in January?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
