Very Scrappy and Happy!

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a bit since I came by and talked about FOs. In fact, I think it’s been over a month and a half. So, don’t be surprised if there are quite a few FO Parade posts today….  With this in mind, let’s talk about FO #37. I called this project “My Scrappy Happy Blanket.” It took me until early July to finish it and I started it just before the beginning of 2020.

I finished 49 fingering weight squares that are all 11 granny square rows using a size G (or 4.25mm) hook. All the squares use different dyers and colors. I honestly don’t remember them all. Sorry…

Then I attached them with many different grey stripes and put a border with “Dear Diary” by Knit Picks. This is a few greys, and a bit of pink. Just to mix everything up. I believe it came out pretty awesome. The blanket itself is one of the Grand Prizes for the Craft Along that I’m hosting on my podcast (which reminds me… I need to make this announcement as soon as I get the second blanket finished/put together…So, um… SPOILER ALERT? lol)

4 Rows connected.

6 rows connected. 2 more to go at this point…

I really do love the way this came out, considering the scrappy nature of the project. What do you think?

I Heart #37!!!

Hello everyone! This is the last FO for a bit, I promise. But it’s probably the one I’m most proud of (for right now). I had this blanket in progress for a year, two months, and a week.  I called this project “Stripey Heart.”

I used ALOT of Red Heart scraps, a 6.5 mm (K) Hook, and the “Granny Stripes”pattern by Lucy of Attic24. I have LOTS of pictures, as it was QUITE the journey. But it was TOTALLY worth it!!! I can now officially say I am a Crocheter…

I LOVE the way this worked up. I’m thinking my recipient will LOVE it when I give it to her. What do you think?
