#44’s The Happiest! :)

Hello again everyone!!! FO #44 is what I called “Hermione’s Happiest Secret.”

These were my July’s (Desert Vista Dyeworks) DVD socks. I used “The Happiest Place On Earth”. I also decided that I was going to mix two different patterns. The first was “Hermione’s Secret” pattern by Kat Johnson, and the second was “Vanilla Is The New Black” by Anneh Fletcher. I REALLY love how well the stripy sequence of the yarn plays with these two patterns. The heel from the second pattern fits my heel better than the one written into the first pattern.

What do you think?

Until Next Time!

#43 is MFM’s Turn!!!

Hello again! I called FO #43 “SSDGM & F’Politeness.”

This project was part of the “My Favorite Murder Mystery KAL” using the pattern name of the same name. I used Suburban Stitcher Sock’s “Triflers Need Not Apply” colorway.

I had SOOO much fun with this MKAL I really love the way the colorway plays with the patterning. I only wish my photography skills are better so I can show off JavaPurl’s wonderful genius.  What do you think?

Until Next Time!

#42 Is Everything!

Hello again everyone! I called FO #42 “Here Kitty Kitty.”

I mainly used the “Afterthought Socks” by LaLa of TheKnitgirlls, but ended up knitting them afterthought-everything style. This is where you knit a long tube and cut in or pre-plan the heels, toes, and cuffs. To this end, I cast on the toe, knit a tube, and used waste yarn to mark the heels and cuffs on each sock as I knit the tube. It was my first time trying to do an afterthought heel since the first ones I tried years ago… Those didn’t really work for my feet, and I haven’t tried them again until now…

I used Dream in Color Smooshy in the “Torchwood” colorway, as well as a SIngle Sock Blank by Gale’s Art in the “Here Kitty Kitty” colorway.

I REALLY love the way that these two combined. What do you think?

Until Next Time!

Hello again everyone! FO #41 is what I called “I Can Do The Can Can, Can You?”

These were my June’s DVD Socks. I used the “Moulin Rouge” colorway, as well as the “Hermione’s Everyday Socks” pattern.

I LOVE how these two combine together. Somehow, I managed to mostly keep the stripe sequence the same until the heel. What do you think?

Until Next Time!

Hello again everyone! FO #39 is what I called “June 2019’s Washcloths.”

There were 5 in total, and gave me a total of 300 yards for Stash Dash. I used “Gramma’s Dishcloth” by PJ Allen, as well as US 6, 4.0mm Marblz circs. I used a mix of a random Purple colorway (no label, sorry), and Knit Picks Dishie in the “Blush” and “Azure” colorways.

I LOVE the way these washcloths came out. What do you think of the colors?

Hello again everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve come back with any new posts. There’s been a lot that’s been happening in my RL that I’ve simply forgotten that I haven’t added to my FO Parade in awhile, let alone other posts.  Sorry again about that…  With that in mind, I have a few posts that will be following this Post today…

Alright. Here Goes.

This was a hat I made for Emptyeye, and used a formula that I created myself. This got me 179 yards for Stash Dash.

I used Universal Yarn Uptown DK in the “Peach Smoothie” colorway. I LOVE how this striped up. What do you think?

I Heart #37!!!

Hello everyone! This is the last FO for a bit, I promise. But it’s probably the one I’m most proud of (for right now). I had this blanket in progress for a year, two months, and a week.  I called this project “Stripey Heart.”

I used ALOT of Red Heart scraps, a 6.5 mm (K) Hook, and the “Granny Stripes”pattern by Lucy of Attic24. I have LOTS of pictures, as it was QUITE the journey. But it was TOTALLY worth it!!! I can now officially say I am a Crocheter…

I LOVE the way this worked up. I’m thinking my recipient will LOVE it when I give it to her. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I LOVE the way these colors play together in this blanket. What do you think?

Falling for #32

Hello again! I do have another Shawl FO to talk to you about! I called this project “First Point of Autumn.”

This is probably one of my favorite recent FO. I LOVE how these colors play together. What do you think?

#20 Needs A Tail

Hello again everyone! I have finished my April 2019 DVD Socks.

This month, I used the “ZomEeyore” colorway from Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD). I decided that I wanted vanilla socks this month, so I used the “Vanilla Is The New Black” pattern by Vanessa Fletcher.

I REALLY love the stripy sequence in this colorway!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Bouncy #19

Hello again everyone! I called this one “March 2019 DVD Socks.”

This month, I used the “Socks For The Deputy Headmistress” pattern by Erica Lueder. This month’s Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD) colorway was ZomTigger. I LOVE the way these colors played together. What do you think?

Either way, I might not have another completed project (besides my April DVD Socks) until the end of May, and the start of Stash Dash.

So, until then, Happy Crafting!

Peachy Keen #18

Hello again everyone! I have one last FO to add to the parade today. Number eighteen is what I called “Everything’s Just Peachy! ;)”

This top was the  “Anemone” by Veera Välimäki. I ended up using 2 1/2 skeins of the “Just Peachy” colorway on Leading Men Fiber Arts Showcase base. I knew that I wanted to make this pattern and wanted to use this particular colorway. So, when I saw Steve and Amanda of LMFA at SSK 2018 and they had this colorway in the number of skeins I needed, it was just meant to be. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how this top came out and I cannot wait to wear it. I’ll have to get a picture of me wearing it out in the wild. Probably once the Winter Weather goes the f’ away…  What do you think of how this came out?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Trying #17

Hello everyone! The seventeenth thing that I finished this year was what was called “Tri-ed And True.”

I casted this on back in April of 2016. It stalled out at about 60% for over two years while I worked on other things. It had literally sat in a Ziploc bag in my UFO box for all that time. When it came time to planning my Detention OWL for this semester of HPKCHC, I saw that this shawl had been the longest on my needles and made the executive decision that I NEEDED to finish it by the end of March. So, I did. I REALLY wasn’t that far from the end. I’m STILL not sure as to why I haven’t worked on it much over the years… I had pegged this to be finished in TWO different Stash Dash years, and never QUITE got there.

Meh.  Either way, it’s done now… I even got my wonderful Hubby to model it too.  Doesn’t he look ESTATIC about it???  lol.  What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#16’s For Me

Hello again everyone! The sixteenth  thing I finished this year was what I called “Ba’s Shawl #2.”

I knit this for HPKCHC’s 5th Quidditch match.

I used 2 skeins of Miss Babs Yowza. “Echo” and “Across The Universe.” Again, with a gradient between the two colors that my Recipient had chosen. I really LOVE the combo of these two colors. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Boxy #15

Hello again everyone! The Fifteenth thing that I finished this year was what I called “We’ve Got Mars on The Horizon.”

This project has been on the needles since January of last year. I only needed to finish the shoulders, the sleeves, and the collar. So, I decided to include it as part of my OWL for the HPKCHC. I used just over two skeins of Miss Babs Yowza in the “Seductress” colorway.  I love how this sweater ended up working up, even though you can see where I added the second skein. But I’m okay with this, as it hits me just at the boob  line. Which is fine.  What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Fourteen’s Keen

Hello again everyone! The fourteenth thing that I finished this year was what I called “Ba’s Shawl #1.”

I used two different colors of Miss Babs Yowza yarns. “Supriza” and “Spiked Punch.” My recipient picked the colors, and I wanted to do a fade with the two colors. I really love how this came out!  My wonderful Hubby Emptyeye was VERY awesome when he let me take a photograph of him wearing it. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Small-ish Human Knits

Hello again everyone! The latest thing that I finished I called simply “Vertebrae #2.”

I have a friend that I’m knitting tiny human knits for. I won’t say whom they’ll be for, just in case they happen to read this. I want to keep this a surprise. This is the second of two sweaters I’m going to be knitting. This is the “Vertebrae” pattern by Kelly van Niekerk. I used size 4 and size 6 (US) needles, and Bernat Baby Sport in two colorways “Baby Ombre” and “Mint.” What do you think? Isn’t this so cute???

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#12’s Lovey Dovey

Hello again everyone! Welcome back to my FO Parade! It’s been a busy few weeks here in my neck of the woods. So, I’m going to apologize for the large number of posts going up today… Now that this caveat is out of the way, let’s start the Parade.

The 12th thing that I finished was part of my HPKCHC Detention OWL. This project was on the needles (or off, as I had finished the body and only needed sleeves) for almost a year. It was sitting in my UFO (Unfinished Objects) bin for close to 11 months. Can you tell I have an issue putting myself onto “Sleeve Island?”

I called this project “I’m Lovin’ It.”

The pattern I used on this project was the “All The Love” by Joji Locatelli, size US 4 and US 6 needles. I LOVED this Pinky Colorway by Dream in Color. It was a BFL (Bluefaced Leicester ) Silk combo, and I LOVE the feel of this finished object. What do you all think?

Until Next Time, Happy Knitting!

Little Knits Are A Go!

Hello again everyone! The latest thing that I finished I called simply “Vertebrae #1.”

I have a friend that I’m knitting tiny human knits for. I won’t say whom they’ll be for, just in case they happen to read this. I want to keep this a surprise. This is the first of two sweaters I’m going to be knitting.

Oh, Bother! #10 is Coming Your Way!

Hello again everyone! The 10th thing that I finished this month I called “Piglet & Honey, What More Could A Pooh Bear Ask For?”

This is my February submission for the DVD (Desert Vista Dyeworks) Fifth Annual Sock KAL. I used her Viso base in the “ZomPiglet” colorway and the “Honey Badger” pattern  by Irishgirlieknits. I really do love the way that the pattern picks up the stripy sequence in the colors. What do you all think?

I also entered this in the HPKCHC as part of Quidditch Match 3 and I finished the pair in 5 days, which impresses even me…

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Also, Sheep racing… 😉

Green #9

Hello again everyone! The 9th thing that I’ve finished this year was another thing that’s been “on my needles” for quite some time. I started this January 11th of last year and finished the body on January 24th. I only literally had to include 2 sleeves, yet it sat in my UFO (Unfinished Objects) box for that whole time. To help me finish this up, I decided to enter it as part of my Detention OWL for the HPKCHC. It worked, and I finally finished it!

This is the “Flax” pattern by Tincanknits and is for Emptyeye.  He’s happy to have it, no matter how he looks in this photo… lol.

I used size 6 and size 8 (US) needles and Miss Babs Yowza in the “Sea Teal” colorway. What do you guys think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Whispering To #8

Hello again everyone! The 8th thing that I finished this year was another thing that I’ve had on the needles for a bit. Not quite as long as some, but this one has been on the needles since 9/18. I also am entering this as part of my Detention OWL for HPKCHC. I called this project “Gemini Whispers.”

I used size 6 and size 7 needles as well as Knit Picks CotLin in the “Whisper” colorway. I love how this top came out, and I cannot wait for warmer weather so I can wear it outside! 🙂 This got me 1,015 yards.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#7 Werks It!!!

Hello again everyone!!! The Seventh project that I finished this year is what I called “Just You Wait.”

If you haven’t figured it out by the title of this blog, and the title I gave my Project, this was a Hamilton-themed MKAL that I participated in from Lyrical Knits. The pattern can be found on Ravelry now.  Young, Scrappy, and Cozy by Mary Annarella. For the MKAL, we were told that we would need three separate colors. One of these colors would be a contrast with the other two. I ended up using Miss Babs Yowza in the “Spiked Punch,” Ebony,” and “Gator Bait” colorways. I love how these three colors worked up. What do you think? Sorry about all the photos, but it’s a weird shape to capture the entire FO in. Hopefully, these help…

Besides the MKAL, I also entered this into the HPKCHC as my Ancient Runes Class. It got me 42 points into the Cup.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
