Hiya again, Beautiful Makers! The next thing that I’ve finished this year, is what I called “Flax 4.6.”
I’ve knitted the 4->6 year size of the “Flax” pattern by TinCanKnits using Paintbox Yarns, Superwash wool, Worsted in the “Buttercup Yellow” colorway, and a bit of a Teal color. I can’t remember what. I’m sorry… I used the numbers and basic pattern for the Flax, but made two rows of colorwork in the yoke. The recipient’s parents are big into music, so I thought they would get a kick out of it. I’ve been using size US 6, 4.0mm for the ribbing and size US 8, 5.0mm 16 inch circs for the rest of the sweater. I also use DPNs for the sleeves.
This project is being housed in my Pink Mattress bag by The Knitting Broomstick. Jilly’s shop can be found here, even though she’s still on hiatus.
This was a very short WIP, actually. I started this on 12/12 and finished it on 12/18. This is only my second colorwork sweater. I love the way this worked up. What do you think?
Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
