Easy Peasy Dude!

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! The next WIP I want to talk about, is a crochet shawl  I call “Easy Peasy Dude!” that I cast on 8/26 of this year.

I am using the “Quick & Simple Granny Shawl” pattern by Hannah Owens. I am using a size G or 4.0mm crochet hook and MANY different stripey scraps. I don’t have the ball band on any of these. I’m sorry. It’s been awhile since I bought and used many of these skeins.

I am hosting this project in my 11th Doctor bag. There’s no label on this bag, so I have NO idea where I originally bought this. I’m sorry…

I’m not very far into this shawl, but I LOVE how it’s working up so far. What do you think?

Toddler Hat

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! The next “WIP” I wish to discuss, is what I called “Toddler Hat.”

This hat went super fast. As in, I cast it on and finished it on 8/25. This is FO #53. I used Paintbox Yarns, superwash wool, Simply Aran in the “Vanilla Cream,” “Slate Green,” “Pistachio Green,” “Soft Fudge,” and “Red Wine” colorways. For the hat, I used size US 6, 4.0mm needles for the ribbing, and size US 8, 5.0mm needles for the rest of the hat. Switching to DPNs for the crown decreases. The project was done so quickly, I just housed it in a Ziploc bag… lol.

Bebe Barley T

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner!

The next “WIP” I want to talk about is what I called “Bebe Barley T.” This knit went SUPER quick. As in, I was able to cast on and finish the hat on 8/16 and didn’t even have time to allocate a bag to include it to. This is FO 51 for the year.

The pattern I used for this hat, was the “Barley” pattern by TinCanKnits. I used Plymouth Yarns, Hot Cakes, in the color 6 “Garden Mix” colorway. I used size US 6, 4.0mm needles for the ribbing, and US 8, 5.0mm needles for the rest. Switched to DPNs for the crown decreases, as usual.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Bebe Barley B

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! Hope your August went well!

The next “WIP” that I want to talk about is what I called “Bebe Barley B.” This was a very quick knit. I started it on 8/15 and finished it on 8/16. This got me a total of 70 yards.  The pattern I used on this hat was the “Barley” pattern by TinCanKnits. I used Plymouth Yarns, Hot Cakes,  in the color 6 “Garden Mix” colorway. For the hat, I used size US 6, 4.0mm needles for the ribbing, and size US 8, 5.0mm needles for the rest of the hat. Switching to DPNs for the crown decreases. The project was done so quickly, I just housed it in a Ziploc bag… lol.

I REALLY love the way this hat came out. What do you think?

Blanket Para Bebe

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! The next “WIP” I want to talk about is what I called “Blanket Para Bebe.” This is FO #52 for the year.

This blanket was housed in my Pink Mattress bag by The Knitting Broomstick. Jilly’s Etsy shop can be found here.

I started this blanket on 08/13 and finished this blanket on 8/25. It was a pretty quick knit, considering. I used the “Fuss Free Baby Blanket” pattern by Louise Tillbrook Designs and size US7, 4.5mm Knitters Pride Smart Sticks 24 inch cable, then I graduated it to a ChaioGoo red lace 60 inch cable once it got big enough.

I used Paintbox Yarns, superwash wool, Simply Aran in the “Vanilla Cream,” “Slate Green,” “Pistachio Green,” “Soft Fudge,” and “Red Wine” (in this order) colorways. To specify, I used 885 total yards. This is broken down as:

  • Vanilla Cream: 153 yards
  • Slate Green: 195 yards
  • PIstachio Green: 191 yards
  • Soft Fudge: 185 yards
  • Red Wine: 161 yards

The plan was to have the Soft Fudge color frame the other colors.  Here are some pictures of the blanket. I really love the way it came out! What do you all think?

A Crowley Will Always Be A Crowley

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! The next WIP I’m going to talk about, is a project I called “A Crowley Will Always Be A Crowley.” I started this project on  06/28 of this year.

This project is being held in my Holiday Music Tot by Stitching The High Notes. Joanna’s Shop can be found here

I am using the “Downton Farewell” pattern by Phyll Lagerman. The yarn I’m using in these socks is Hue Loco Glitz Sock “Money Cake.” Until l get to the heel, I’ll be using US 1, 2.25mm 9 inch circs. Then I’ll be switching over to DPNs in the same size.

I’m still only mid-way through the first pattern rotation. It’s heavily patterned, so it will take me a bit. But, I’m okay with that, as this one has been in my queue ever since Downtown Abby went off the air a few years ago.

DVD Love <3

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! The next WIP I want to talk about is what I called DVD Love <3.

I started this blanket on 07/14 of this year. Shortly after I finished my other DVD scrap blanket. I’m using the “Granny Stripes” pattern by Lucy of Attic24. I’m using a size G 4.25mm crochet hook.

I’m using a Tan color from The  Loopy Ewe Solid Series to start and finish this blanket. I can’t remember the colorway name, I’m sorry. It’s not on The Loopy Ewe’s website at the moment, and I’ve since lost the tags for the yarn… I don’t believe they are carrying it at the moment, but Their store can be found here.

For the rest of this blanket, I’ll be using up the remainder of the yarn my DVD (Desert Vista Dyeworks) Monthly Sock Club socks that I’ve completed over the years. I’ll be listing each color I’ve used, as well as the amount of yardage I had left of each to add to the blanket below. Before I do that, you can find Desert Vista Dyework’s shop here.

I’m all caught up on the socks I’ve already knit for the DVD Monthly Sock Club, so I’m just waiting until I finish September’s socks to add more to this blanket. For now, here is the current progress picture.

Purple Viajante

Hello Beautiful Readers! Welcome back to my WIP Madness Corner! The next project I want to talk about is what I called Purple Viajante.

The pattern I’m using for this project is the “Viajante” by Martina Behm. I plan on using 2 skeins of Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Silk Thread II in the colorway “KMBFLA (Kiss My Big Fat Lavendar A$$, if you must know what it stands for)”

This project is being housed in my Outlander bag by The Knitted Broomstick.

Her shop can be found here, even though Jilly has closed up the shop officially. She had some amazing bags!

I am using

I started this project on 05/17 of this year. Using size US 2, 2.75mm for the beginning Triangle, and US 3, 3.25mm.

I TOTALLY expect this project to take me a bit. I am just past the beginning triangle, and expect that this might be put aside for other things for a bit… I already have. I haven’t worked on it since 3 days after I cast it on…

Sorry about my hand being in the way, but it’s in that TOTALLY awkward phase where I’m just starting to work in the round. You know… When it’s hard to get a proper picture… Anyway. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
