It’s SOOO Ancient…

Hello again! FO #2 for 2020 was a project I called “Ancient Runes – Jan2020.”

I used the “Stargate Earth Dishcloth” pattern by Megan Murray and some random purple acrylic scraps. I love this combination. What do you think?

And So It Begins…

Hello everyone! I’m planning on highlighting all of my FO’s again in 2020. Let’s start off with an FO that I entered in the HPKCHC (Harry Potter Knit & Crochet House Cup) group on Ravelry. This is a project I called “Herbology – Jan 2020.”

I used the “1up Mushroom Dishcloth” pattern by Nyyght using some random Green Acrylic scraps I had laying about. It’s hard to see, but I LOVE this pattern!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Lovely Squares

Hello again everyone! The last FO of 2019 was 32 yellow squares and 18 black squares for a new Granny Square blanket. This is a blanket I started for a surprise Recipient and their SO (Significant Other). I’m calling the project “I Can Hear The Bells.”

Here are the rows I connected in December. What do you think of my progress?

This means I have a total of 48,274.1 yards for the year. Quite awesome, huh?  Either way, I’ll be back for an FO parade in 2020!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

My Blanket Statement

Hello again everyone! FO #76 for 2019 was what I called “December 2019 Blanket Squares.”

I’m just doing granny squares on a size I (eye) Hook. Here’s the final layout. What do you think?

I still have to connect all the squares and finish up the border. This is how the blanket will sit for a bit, as I have other things I need to finish first…

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Casting On #75

Hello again everyone! FO #75 for 2019 was a project that I called “‘XMas Cast On’ Socks.”

I used the “Vanilla is the New Black” pattern by Anneh Fletcher and Must Stash Yarn & Fiber Sport Sock in the “Dark Side EVP.” I really love these socks. I think I’ve worn them at least once a week since I finished them. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#73’s Keen

Hey everyone! So sorry it’s been almost 3 months since I came by and updated my blog. Suffice to say, it’s been a busy few months. I’m going to kick off the last few FO’s of 2019 with my “December 2019 DVD Socks.”

I used the “You’re A Mean One” colorway from Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD). I used the “Vanilla Is The New Black” pattern by Anneh Fletcher. I REALLY love the way this pattern and yarn go together. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Squares, Squares, Everywhere…

Hello again everyone. The 72nd thing that I finished, is part of a larger FO that will happen later. I’m calling this blanket “All Squared Up.”

I plan on using Caron Simply Soft Stripes in the “Grape Purple” and “Rosewood.” I’m sure there will be other colorways, but I’ll mention them as I finish each square. My plan is to crochet 6 round squares and connect them in rows of 10 squares each. I pretty anticipate this project to take me a bit, as I plan on making each square as a palate cleanser between my other projects. These are all 16 squares I made in November and during the days of Thanksgiving. I LOVE the way they are coming out. What do you think?

Thank you for sticking with me as I show off all of the projects I finished since the last time I came by. Obviously, there were a lot. Hopefully, I’ll be back with more soon.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Pinky #70

Hello again everyone! The 70th thing that I finished this year was what I called “Aunt Pinky.”

This Holiday gift was the last entered in my HPKCHC Arithmancy OWL. I used Cascade 220 FIngering “Azalea Pink.” I really like this is the perfect pink for my intended Recipient. I think they will really like this color.  What do you think?

#69’s All About The Doctor

Hello again everyone! The 69th thing that I finished this year was what I called “Doctor Quiddy.”

I made this Slouchhead Hat for the final Quidditch match of HPKCHC. I used Pandia’s Jewels Hand Dyed Yarn Snug “But I Think I Came Out More Magician.” I REALLY love this colorway, and I can’t want to wear it out and about this Holiday season. What do you all think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Bright #68

Hello again everyone! The 68th thing that I finished this year was what I called simply “November 2019 DVD Socks.”

If you couldn’t tell, these are my November DVD (Desert Vista Dyeworks) socks. I decided “Troll Dolls” would be a good colorway for Fall. I REALLY love this colorway. What do you think?

My Singing #67

Hello again everyone!  The 67th thing I finished this year was what I called “Mama Mia.”

This Holiday present was also entered into my HPKCHC Arithmancy OWL. I used Dream in Color Smooshy “Torchwood” and Knit Picks Hawthorne Fingering Kettle Dye “Vancouver.” I love how these two colors played together. What do you think?

Waving at #66

Hello again everyone! The 66th thing that I finished this year is what I called “Quiddy #3.”

This project was for Quidditch match #3 for the HPKCHC. I used miscellaneous scraps of fingering yarn in the Harry Potter House colors to create a banner to wave. I’m proud of how it came out. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I Put A Spell on #65

Hello again everyone! The 65th thing that I finished this year was what I called “Magician AF.”

I wanted another Slouchy hat, so I used SweetGeorgia Yarns Tough Love Sock “Magician.” I love this color, and I think my recipient will also love this hat, once I get a chance to send it off tho them. I won’t say who it’s going to, as it’s supposed to be a surprise.  What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Singing The Tale of #63

Hello again! The 63rd thing that I finished this year was what I called “Papa Don’t Peach.”

This project was another Holiday gift that I entered as part of my HPHCKC Arithmancy OWL. I really love how the Dream In Color Smooshy “Medieval” and Knit Picks Hawthorne FIngering Kettle Dye “Irvington” play together. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Scrying For #61

Hello again everyone! The 61st thing I finished was what I called “Diving The Meaning of Dragons.”

I made myself a slouchy hat (pattern by Kelly McClure) out of a Gale’s Art Single Sock Blank that I have called “Dragons Are Not Slaves.” I really love how the variegated nature of the sock blank showed up in this hat. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Bloody #60

Hello again everyone! Project #60 is what I called “My Bloody Vampire.”

This was my October Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD) socks. I used the color “Zombody Vants to Drink Your Blood” and the “Toe-Up Socks With A Difference” pattern by Wendy D. Johnson. This was also part of my Arithmancy OWL through the HPKCHC.

I really LOVE this colorway. What do you think?

Falling for #59

Hello again everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since the last time I came back to continue the FO Parade. I really have been busy, I promise…

Either way, FO #59 is what I called “Joyful Falling.”

I used Joji Locatelli’s “Pure Joy” pattern. I also used GnomeAcres House Gnome in the “Bad Bunny” and The Loopy Ewe Solid Series in the color “Peach.” I really love the way that the colors play together. What do you think?

Until Next Time! Happy Crafting!

Time To Wrap Up #58

Hello again everyone! I know it’s been a Blog-tastic morning/afternoon. I promise FO #58 is the last one I’m going to report on. At least,  for a bit. I called this project “Bromance R’ Us.”

This project is also for someone for the Holidays, as well as part of my Arithmancy OWL for HPKCHC. This is the last pair of socks I finished in September. I used Knit Picks Hawthorne Kettle Dye in the “Cathedral Park” colorway, as well as Dream in Color Smooshy in the “Medieval” colorway on the Cuffs. I REALLY love the way that these colors play together. What do you all think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Keep Em’ Guessing #56…

Hello again everyone! A quick note. From here on out, all of the FO’s I do may be for someone else. What does this mean? Well, the title of the Project I come up with may be tied into WHO the item is for. So, I’ll be saying that this project was for someone for the Holidays, and let you guess from there…  This is also part of my Arithmancy OWL through the HPKCHC. Either way… FO number 56 I titled “Bromance.”

I ended up using 2 50 gram skeins of Patons Kroy “Turquoise Jacquard” and used a grey color from the same company for contrasting heels and cuffs. I REALLY love the way that this pair knit up. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Falling For #55

Hey again everyone! FO 55 for 2019 is what I called “Falling For The Red Queen.”

I entered this shawl in MANY KALs. I initially started this one for the Joji Fall KAL that she does. However, this ended up being perfect for a class for the Harry Potter Knit & Crochet House Cup (HPKCHC) too. Which I LOVE!!!  I used Dream in Color Smooshy in the “Cinnamon Girl” and “Melon Bomb” colorways as well as “The Girl From The Grocery Store.” I absolutely LOVE the way that these colors play together. It was pretty hard to get a proper picture, but I persisted until I got the picture you see above. What do you all think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#54

Hello again everyone! FO #54 for this year is what I called “September 2019 DVD Socks.” I know. Straight and right to the point. I have to admit that my naming skills for several projects in the month of September kind of went by the wayside… What can I say, September was a busy month for me. For various reasons I’m not going to get into here…

Anyway…

As with each pair of socks I use for the Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD) Socks KAL, I used her Viso base. This month was “Stranger Things.”  Besides the DVD KAL, I am using this pair as part of my Arithmancy OWL in the Harry Potter Knit & Crochet House Cup (HPKCHC). My plan? To knit 9 pairs of the “Toe-Up Socks With A Difference” pattern by Wendy D. Johnson before the end of November. Crossing my fingers that I can finish earlier. But, we’ll see… I’ve made a pretty good showing for it. But, you’ll see how I did later..

I ended up knitting this pair in just under 7 days. I really do love the way the stripes came out, even if I was able to speed through the pattern. What do you all think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#52

Hello again everyone! I called FO #52 simply “Blankie.”

It’s a simple blanket made 2 colors of Hayfield Blossom Blossom DK in the “Pretty Primrose” and “Play Patch” colorways and the “Gramma’s Favorite Dishcloth” pattern by PJ Allen.

I love how the colors play together. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#51’s Won

Hello again everyone! This time I’m going to combine FO’s #51 and #53. I recently had the pleasure of doing a Test Knit for CC of The Geeky Girls Knit Podcast. She will be releasing the pattern sort of soon, but I didn’t want to put off the releasing of this post any longer in order to show off the genius patterning she came up with. Especially since I’m already so delayed… The pattern will be called “I’ll have two coffees and two cherry danishes to go please Socks,” which is a Gilmore Girls reference…

I used two different colorways and made two iterations of this pattern. One with a light variegation to it, and another with the stripey sequence she called for in the pattern. This way, others will know how well the pattern plays with both.

As the pattern has not been released, I have only been authorized to show off the bottom of each foot. I’ll try to remember to update this post later with my FO pictures. Like I said, I’ll TRY. No guarantees, though.

What do you think of these wonderful colorways? The black and Rainbow stripe colorway is called “Black Unicorn” by Spotted Circus on her Merino Sock base. The other is “English Rose” by West Yorkshire Spinners.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

“I Don’t Give A Damn” About #49

Hello again everyone! FO #49 is my “August 2019’s DVD Socks.”

I used Desert Vista Dyeworks’ Viso base in the “Gone With The WInd” colorway (hence the title of this post.)  If you’re not familiar with the quote I used with the naming of this post, please do yourself a big favor and Google the term and watch the movie. You’ll thank me later…

I really LOVE the way that this colorway striped. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

3 Months of Washcloths, All Together Now… ;)

Hello again everyone! Since FOs #48, #50, &  #57 are all the same, I think I’m going to go ahead and bundle together 3 months worth of washcloths together.  If you do mind, it’s entirely too late to say anything now, so there… lol… 😉

September Washcloths

August Washcloths

July Washcloths

Anyway, as I mentioned, these 3 FOs are all “Gramma’s Favorite Dishcloth” by PJ Allen. I use the same US 6 (4.0mm) 24-inch Marblz circs for each washcloth. I also have been using MANY different colorways of scraps. For a majority of the scraps, I’ve had them so long that I don’t have the actual label for them anymore.

But I’m loving the way each of these knit up. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Doctoring #47

Hello again everyone! FO #47 for  2019 is what I called “The Doctor Is The Answer.”

This is a project that I started back in April of 2017, and was intended to be knit during the Police Box MKAL. I honestly got to the last few sections, got far behind, and just gave up with keeping up to the clue release.  Stash Dash this year inspired me to finish some older WIPs.

I used Lorna’s Laces Sheperd Sock in the “Bigger On The Inside” and Spring Quintet “March 2017 Police Box.”

I LOVE how this project worked out in the end. What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Say #46

Hello again everyone! Sorry it’s been a long while since I’ve come by to update my FO Parade posts. It’s been a fairly busy couple of months, which caused me to be behind on ALL of my postings. Again, sorry about that. With that in mind, let’s push on! FO #46 for 2019 is what I called “A Rey of Sunshine.”

This was the “Toe-Up Socks With A Difference” pattern by Wendy D. Johnson. I used size 2, 2.75mm needles and Patons Kroy “Greener Pastures.”

I believe that my intended Recipient will LOVE these socks. I’ll have to update you later… What do you think?

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I have an extensive list of WIPs, so making decisions on which ones I wanted to finish this year for Stash Dash was (and still is, if we’re being honest) a bit of an issue. I’m going include my CURRENT plan of attack.

As I am currently sitting at 13,966 yards or 12,770.6 meters at only 20 days into Stash Dash, I have gone ahead and thrown my hat into the “15K or above” goal marker on the Stash Dash forums.

5/18: I  can’t wait to get started this year! I’ll see you after the start of Stash Dash.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

#45 Is Awesome!

Hello again everyone! We’re nearing the end of today’s FO parade, so YAY!!!  I called FO #45 “Infinitely Awesome.”

I used the Upstairs Downstairs: A Cowl in Three Sizes” pattern  by Paula Emons-Fuessle. I used Bernat Baby Sport in the “White” colorway and Hayfield Baby Blossom DK “366” colorway. This got me 500 yards for Stash Dash. I REALLY love the way the variegated colorway played with the cowl pattern. What do you think?

Thanks for reading all my FO posts. I know there were a few things I finished over the past month or so… My updated Stash Dash post should be posted sometime later today…

Until Next Time!
